HP Pavilion 15-au018ca (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had to replace my keyboard. In doing so, I managed to destroy the wifi card because the mini-coax cable broke along with the fitting. I'm now using a USB WIFI. All works just fine, except now when I shut down the computer it goes to the 5-long, 3-short blink mode because the internal wifi card no longer is installed. How do I disable that error code, so I can shut-down my machine?

Thank you.

See if there is an option in the BIOS to disable WiFi.

if not then put the old card back in.  It will not work good for Wifi but the bluetooth should be good for any BT mouse or headphones right nearby.

Your parts list is here

And this should work if you want to restore the old wifi

you will have to poke the cables around somewhere but it can be done (not easily)

No disable wifi option in the BIOS. But I did purchase the card and coax. Thanks. That should permanently solve it.
