Hello,

My HP 15-dw0083wm laptop will not power on. I’m trying to perform a BIOS crisis recovery using a USB drive, but I cannot find the correct BIOS SoftPaq or the required .FD file on HP’s site.

Details:

  • Model: HP 15-dw0083wm

  • BIOS version: Unknown (laptop won’t boot)

  • Issue: No display, laptop won’t start

  • Goal: Create USB BIOS recovery drive

  • Request: The official BIOS recovery .FD file or the SoftPaq containing it

Any guidance or a link to the correct recovery file would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi:

This is the latest BIOS update for your notebook (F.68):

Watch these videos for how to create and use a BIOS recovery flash drive with the above exe file using another Windows PC if yours is not working.

Thank you so much. I made the recovery thumb drive and double checked all is copied properly and the drive was properly renamed. Win + B did not work though per the instructions in the video link. The battery will hold a charge if fully charged so it is good. I took it out and decharged it and tried the whole process. Any suggestions?  Sure appreciate your help.
