Hi 

I Adil Ahmad Khan from Pakistan.My Laptop Hp Probook 4540s.Got locked it needs login Password at startup which i dont and i didnt set any startup password. And i dont know its default factory password ,i searched on internet there i found that for it i have to reset its BIOS for which i need SMC.BIN file.If anybody have it or have got any idea which can i get that file kindly tell me.

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

 

That was the only way it could be done.

Most HP business notebooks including the one you have, do not generate system disabled codes.

 

Also, removing the CMOS battery will not clear the P/W.
