Unable to access my HP Envy laptop . When I power up I am taken to BitLocker Recovery

asking for the recovery key for this drive

any suggestions

Hi:

 

If you used a Microsoft account to initially set up your PC, during the setup process, the Bitlocker key should have been exported to your Microsoft account.

If you didn't, unfortunately I wouldn't know what you can do to recover it.
