Pavilion dv6500
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I need Hp DV 6500 Bios update files for an old laptop for an RAM update from 1GB to 4GB.

Model: HP Pavilion DV6500 (GZ943EA#ABU)

BIOS: F.22

Operating system: Windows 7 (32bit)

Hi:

 

Your notebook does not need a BIOS update to support 2 x 2 GB of memory.

 

That is for the older dv6000 - dv6400 models with the older Intel 945 chipset.

 

Yours has the Intel 965 chipset.

 

You are only supposed to update the BIOS when running Windows Vista.

 

Running a BIOS update in W7 may wreck your PC.

 

Here is the link to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook...

It show 4 GB Ram 

I have  bios file from f 33 to f.58 it  service pack from SP38015 F33, SP38510 F45 SP38793 F51 SP39158 F53  SP39541 F57 

SP39862 F58 

Now current  bios is F33

Problem is windows did not start even HDD top in bios F10 bios setup  

When start note book it saty in bios screen not start windows 

Once you press any key on keyboard then start windows

Even I remove RTC battery 3volt CR2031 but no use only clock goes year 01/01 2007  24.00  hrs

HP removed the previous BIOS files--F.22/F.23

 

The BIOS file I posted contains all of the updates from the previous versions.

 

F.5A is newer than any of the ones you listed.

 

There is nothing further that I, or anyone else can do to help you.

I have now F 51 Bios but it stuck in bios page not moving further until i have to press any key.  

Why bios not allow  window come on line it self from bios command
