Thanks a bunch, Paul, for your help and patience.  I suppose making a boot disk with a PC probably is the best way to go forward!  I'll let you know the outcome!

You're very welcome

Now that you can see the SanDisk flash drive in the boot options menu, you should have no problem if you can create the bootable W10 installer with the Media creation tool on a PC.

Hi Paul,

Success! Finally😊.

Although I have Monterey 12.6 on my Mac, which does not allow me (as a lay Mac user) to do certain operations, I remember that I had created, on an external drive, a Virtualbox with Mohave OS.  That allowed me to create the Windows Boot UBS using Boot Camp Assistance.  Once that was done, rest was a cakewalk with your detailed instruction!  Thanks again.  Truly appreciate it.

Hi Paul,  Now I'm struggling to restore my files from the external drive that was used to backup the old ailing drive.  I couldn't find any instruction or button when I used the RECOVERY option on Windows 10 settings.  When I connected the backup drive, it was recognized by the PC.  The only option I could think of to copy the .tib file on the backup drive.  Would that work?

Hi:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what to do about that.

I back up my files by copying and pasting my user profile folders to a portable hard drive every month.

That way if I need to restore them, I just copy and paste the folders into my user profile.

That way I never run into issues with restoring my user files and folders.

You probably need to go to the backup program's website and ask for assistance, since depending on what program you use, they all use different file types.

From doing a cursory search for .tib file, I see that is an Acronis file type.
