Hello,
I have an envy 13 and I installed a ST240HM000 seagate 600 SSD. I then reinstalled windows 11.
Without fail everytime I turn the computer on, it says no hard drive detected, press F1 to reboot, I hit F1, then it boots windows fine. It has been doing this since I got the laptop on day 1 (which is when I put the SSD in it.) I have another envy 13 that my wife uses, it behaves exactly the same after I put the same SSD inside of it...
I have the newest bios etc...
If i run the system diagnostics before hitting F1, the system diagnostics pass all tests fine, but it does see my SSD until I exit it and the system reboots and I strike F1 for it to reboot again. Its almost as if the SSD is not initializing on the first power up, only after striking F1. It must be a problem with the laptop, I have two laptops that exhibit the same behavior with the same SSD. I tried the SSD in two other laptops, an Dell Latitude and a Lenovo T420 and the first time they boot up they see the SSD perfectly fine, no issues.
Please help!
Thanks
Robbie
