I have an older Pavilion x360-14 that I added memory and an SSD to. Everything was fine until recently. Whenever the system restarts I get a message saying it doesn't find a disk with an operating system. If I shut it off and turn it on, it boots right up. Not a major problem, just an irritant but would like to know if there is some way to stop this.
from occurring.
I also have replaced the battery with a non-HP battery, get the message about that, but don't feel it's part of the problem since that was replaced a few years ago.
Thanks

It could have overheated.
You can reset the smart history using Disk Sentinel and see if it hits a high temperature again.

It may be too late but you might check and see if you can do a cloud factory restore
If your system came with "HP Recovery Manager" then the new SSD would not have the recovery partition unless you cloned the original disk to the new one.
Possibly you just need a firmware update to the ssd
There may be firmware updates for your SSD. First find out what type of SSD you have.
Using the windows command prompt, please run the following command and report back what it reveals if you want help.
| wmic diskdrive get model, size, mediaType, status |
for example
Samsung and other SDD manufacturers may have a firmware update to their SSD.

I am guessing there is a disk drive error of some type.
Please install and run the free Hard Disk Sentinel app.

Well, I looked at it for a bit today. The SSD is not Samsung it's from Phison. That would have been the generic brand sold by Microcenter. Don't know why I had the Samsung Magician installed, but I took it off. The boot info in the BIOS is correct and the disk tests ran fine. I did numerous shut downs and restarts and could not get it to fail. Wondering if the Samsung Magician had anything to do with it.
Anyway, it seems to be working fine now and I don't know what to say, except thanks for the help and info. If it starts again I'll download that Hard disk Sentinel and go from there.
