My notebook will not boot up, this has happened 3 times now.
It has been sent to HP twice and they put a new motherboard in.
I think that they should replace my complete notebook.
What do other people think?

Hi @Wishusluck8
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s frustrating, especially since this has happened multiple times. Here are some steps to troubleshoot your HP 15.6-inch Laptop PC 15-e2000:
Basic Power Checks
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning it on.
Check Power Adapter & Battery
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and not damaged.
- If the battery is removable, try booting with just the charger connected.
- If the laptop turns on without the battery, the battery may need replacement.
Inspect Power Indicator Lights
- If no lights turn on, the adapter, motherboard, or DC port might be faulty.
- If lights are on but the screen remains blank, it could be a display or internal component issue.
Advanced Troubleshooting
Try Booting into BIOS
- Turn off the laptop, then press Esc or F10 repeatedly while powering it on.
- If BIOS loads, the issue might be with Windows rather than hardware.
Use HP’s Diagnostic Tools
- HP provides troubleshooting guides for boot issues here.
Check for Loose Internal Components
- If the laptop lags when moved, it could indicate a loose connection or failing hard drive here.
- If you’re comfortable, you might open the laptop and check for loose RAM or storage connections.
If the issue persists, it may require professional repair. Since this has happened multiple times, it could be a motherboard issue. Let me know if you need more guidance!
