Windows Update is the worst and least reliable way of doing major Windows Upgrades.

If it were mine, I would do the following -- as doing an in-place Feature Upgrade using Windows Update is unreliable and risky:

1) Us this link to download and create Win10 install media: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

2) insert that into your PC (do NOT boot from it), find the folder containing the media, select the setup.exe file, right-click that and select Run as Administrator.  This will start an in-place Upgrade which could then take a couple of hours to complete.

The Community can not provide any assistance without some details ...

So, please provide the following:
1) detailed model number of the PC
2) OS version the PC is running (i.e., Win7, Win8x, Win10)
3) Age of the PC
4) Detailed description of the problem -- including the EXACT wording of any error message being displayed

Once you provide the needed details, someone will reply.

Model: 15-af173

Its currently running windows 8 but its stuck on installing windows 10

3 years old

When powered on there is a blue hp symbol with a spinning circle underneath. Once that goes away a screen that says Installing Windows and a big circle with a percentage inside. The circle always stops at 64% then goes up to 93% and then starts all over again. At the very bottom of the screen it says installing features and driver  Configuring setting( always stops at 10%)

If the PC is only three years old, there is no reason why it should NOT be able to run Win10.

So, HOW are you doing the Upgrade -- Windows Update or using Win10 install media )on USB stick)?
