@BobCharlie, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy x360 laptop is not turning on and the charging light isn't coming on, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the Power Source:

  • Ensure that the AC adapter is firmly connected to both the laptop and the power outlet. Confirm that your power outlet is working by plugging in another device to test.

Inspect the AC Adapter:

  • Verify the AC adapter for any damage or wear. If possible, try using another compatible AC adapter to see if the issue persists.

Reset the Laptop:

  • Remove the AC adapter.
  • If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out. Wait for about 10 seconds, then reinstall the battery.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter and try turning on the laptop again.

Check the Charging Light Indicators:

  • Refer to the charging light status to determine your laptop's condition:
    • White Light: The battery is fully charged.
    • Amber Light: The battery is charging.
    • Blinking Amber Light: Indicates a low battery when disconnected.
    • No Light: Could suggest the battery is not charging or there is a connection issue.

Examine for Overheating:

  • Ensure that the laptop has not overheated and check if air vents are clear of dust or debris

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
