Not sure on the system. Was a free upgrade couple of years ago. Screen displays 3f0 boot not found.

  Would like for it to work again. Tried the F-2 at start up doesn't help say to go to[edit]xxx tried the F-10

 says want to save changes yes or no.  Doesn't let you do anything else.. Thank You for your help...Terri3284

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand that the PC is not booting to Windows. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

This issue occurs when there is an error with the HDD or the Win OS.

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue.

We will have to perform a recovery of the operating system on the PC. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document.

Now I have the screen asking for administrator password that I have forgotten. It gives me three tries then shuts down. How can I get around this?

That's unfortunate. Please contact our HP Support team for further assistance:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
