This is the same question I have:  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Omen-laptop-won-t-boot-with-wacom-intuos-5-co...

I doubt it was solved.  Same things are happening with me.

@Amiwhere

That's because it may not be solveable -- in the sense that you can STILL leave the Wacom tablet connected and boot without issue.

If have an HP tablet that will AUTOMATICALLY try to boot from anything attached via USB port -- so basically, I have to wait until after boot to plug stuff in like external drives or USB sticks.

It's inconvenient, I know -- but no one has posted any real solution to this.

Thanks for your response.  Problem is I’m trying to install software.  It will not fully install software after reboot unless the Wacom tablet is plugged into usb.  It never installs.  It’s not working and incredibly frustrating.  No one seems to be able to solve this....:(

OK, some things you can try...

Go into the BIOS/UEFI settings and if Secure Boot is disabled, then enable it.  This will prevent the PC from trying to boot from anything other than the internal OS.

Also, check to see if there is a second setting that Disables boot from mobile devices -- and ensure that is set.  That will prevent booting from USB devices.

Good Luck
