Thanks for the explanation! Can you please send me an example link for Amazon?

@IGR_Games05, thanks for your quick response again.

You can use an optical drive hard drive caddy and connect the SSD to the laptop.

Please find the link for hard drive caddy from Amazon. Click Here

Hope this works!

Take Care! 🙂

Actually this is a laptop, so isn't it supposed to have a 2.5 inch HDD?

@IGR_Games05, Thanks for your quick response and time.

I appreciate your response again.

Did you check the Amazon link I had shared previously?

The SSD hard drive would sit on the optical drive bay. Read the specifications from the Amazon page.

  • Compatible 4 Channels switch help to improve the compatibility. You can try to move ABCD if your Laptop cannot read HDD
  • Fully integrated into laptop, no cables/PSU/software driver needed. Fast and reliable connection in laptop, just as the primary HDD

Hope this answers your query again!

Take care! 🙂

@IGR_Games05, I have found a third party video on replacing the laptop's SATA Optical Drive with 2nd HDD or SSD.

Refer this video instruction from youtube for more information. Click Here

Note: If there is any accidental damage while replacing the part. HP warranty will not cover accidental damages.

Hope this helps!

Take Care! 🙂
