Hey there,

 

I'm locked out of my HP mini 110.

 

getting an error message:

 

Password check failed

Fatal Error... System halted

CNU938DDDT

 

p/n: VM135UA#ABA

 

I wonder if someone could help me please?

Hi:

 

See if entering this unlock password allows you to access the PC...the 3rd letter in from the left is a lower case 'L'

That actually worked!

 

Must I enter that password in everytime?

 

I can't seem to get to the BIOS settings to turn it off because it goes too fast?

You're very welcome.

 

You will have to enter that code every time unless you go into the BIOS's security menu and change the password or set it to not have a password..

 

You can use that unlock code to change the password somehow.

I copied and pasted these instructions to clear the BIOS P/W from another post.  Maybe this will work for your model...

 

1. Use the unlock code I generated to enter the BIOS


2. Disable all passwords that are enabled in the BIOS's security menu.


3. If asked for current password - type the unlock code


4. For new password, just press ENTER key


5. Repeat the same for verify password column.
