Hi ! When I press the power button , the fan starts, the Power leds goes on, the battery led goes on, the drive led stays off and both caps lock led and num lock led blinks simultaneously at 4 seconds interwalls. The display stays black. What's wrong with the machine ? Thanks in advance.

This a very old machine:

That blinking LEDs mean some issue with the notebook hardware, you have to troubleshoot with this document from the start:

Thank You for the prompt answer. I understand that it could be possible for HP service experts, to identify, which hardware part is broken, based on information, that simultanioulsy blinking Caps lock and Num lock lights blinks 15 times in 60 seconds, that means at 4 seconds interwals. Fingerprint sensor light is on too. No beep sounds.

Unfortunately you have to do it yourself. Hardware issues cannot be identified by remote troubleshooting.
This is the reason I've provided the HP document and your notebook manual.

I'll suggest you to get the notebook checked by certified technician on-site and repaired.

Thank You very much for your prompt answer. As You mentioned, the machine is very old. I am afreid, that a certified HP service point in Finland will charge for repair more than the real value of the machine. I might take the mass memory out from the broken machine and try to move the contents into an other PC. Thank You very much for your help anyway.
