Pavilion Gaming laptop 15-ec2010ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All, I have got Pavilion Gaming laptop. It is a new machine, I purchased it couple of weeks ago. Recently I have been trying to turn it on as usual however I have not managed to do it. Power button was unresponsive and nothing has happened after pressing it. Charging light was on, after pressing power botton the charging light went off. I let the charger connected to laptop for one day and after this I pressed power bottom and the laptop turned on.

However after two days of working perfectly the same issue came back.

Of course I have tried to hard reset it but the battery is enclosed so I disconnected all periferials, charger and pressed power botton for approx 1 minute and nothing has happened afterwards.

Maybe someone has got a solution for the issue. Thanks.

Self update after some observation is coming. Maybe it would be helpful for someone who is experiencing similar issues.

I suppose faulty AC unit is the culprit. In addition to initial issue with powering on, I have also experienced some lags while playing online, just unplugged from the AC unit and the speed came back to normal.

Somehow the faulty AC adapter causes such issues. I am quite sure that the culprit of those issues is faulty AC adapter. I am gonna replace it and see if this helps.

Hi@Serg01254,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We reviewed your post and I understand that the  Notebook is not Powering ON,

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps

Do you see a light at the place where the charger connects to the laptop? If yes then it indicates that the charger is all fine.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.

F6 + Power Button

  • CMOS Rest ( combination of windows button and letter 'V' then push the power button ones and release the windows and letter 'V' after 5sec

If the laptop does not power on then please continue with the below steps:

  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery out.
  • Connect only the battery and check if the laptop powers on.
  • Likewise, remove the battery out (if removal battery ) and connect only the charger, and check if that helps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
