Pavilion laptop won’t boot properly…

I have an older laptop that won’t boot anymore.

Please help to see if it’s recoverable at all.

This nearly always means the primary drive is failing, will need to be replaced, and Windows reinstalled on the PC.

Thanks for responding.  I will look into trying out these methods.

I ran the tests and received a dreaded 24-character error code for failing hard drive. Luckily, I was able to go into Recovery and put whatever files I wanted to keep onto a USB.  Got over eight years from the HDD, so can’t complain too much.
