Hi @JPRCR

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how worrying it can feel when the laptop shows no signs of life even after trying different chargers.

Let’s go through a few careful steps that may help isolate the cause:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect the charger.

Remove any connected devices (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).

Press and hold the power button for about 15–20 seconds to discharge residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try powering it on again.

2. Check for Power Indicators

Look for any light near the charging port, caps lock key, or power button.

A steady or blinking light can indicate whether the system is at least detecting power.

3. Reseat the Battery (if removable)

If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.

Insert the battery again, plug in the charger, and test.

4. Try a Different Power Source

Plug the charger into a different wall socket (avoiding extension cords or surge protectors).

This helps rule out supply issues.

5. Run a Hardware Diagnostic

If the system powers on partially (even just the logo or lights), you can run built-in diagnostics:

Turn on the laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly → Select F2 System Diagnostics.

If none of the above shows any sign of life, it may point to a hardware-level fault such as a system board, DC-in port, or battery issue. In that case, servicing would be needed to get it back up and running.
