Product: Pavilion g7 notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I'm looking at the Power Options in the Control Panel.  I'm wodonering what the default settings are when it asks:

 

 

When I press the Power button:

   Do nothing

   Sleep

   Hibernate

   Shut down

 

When I close the lid:

   Do nothing

   Sleep

   Hibernate
   Shut down

 

 

What are the default options on these?

HP Recommended

Usually default for pressing power button is shut down. Close lid is usually Sleep. Check your Power Plan settings.
