HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0058wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need help! My laptop will not turn on at all. The light by the charge port with be on and then it blinks off one time every five seconds. I have tried re seating the battery, the hard drive, the ram, the m.2 memory booster, and everything else I can think of. It still will not turn on. After my last use, I put the computer to sleep but my power button stopped flashing when the screen shut off, normally the power button flashes when it is sleep mode.

When I press the power button, nothing turns on. So neither of these solutions work right now

Hello @jonmoore2213

Do you have a multimeter to test the charger output voltage (V) ?

best regards

HP Recommended

I do not have a multi meter but I did try a different charger and it still did the same thing, so I don’t believe the charger to be the issue.

Hello @jonmoore2213

There is a technical problem here ...

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- [recommended ] Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- [recommended ] The function of the fan(s) must be checked

Short circuit test

- BIOS / startup chip test

- Power charger test

- Battery Test/Replacement

- General cleaning ...

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

After Service is finished -> 😃

Please report your results
