Hi,
So I tried to turn on my computer a while back and it shows an error message that says "The selected boot device failed. Press <enter> to continue"
I tried pressing enter and nothing happens. It just turns off again and the next time I try to boot it, history repeats.
I've never had this problem before.
Please confirm

You claim your laptop is running Linux -- and HP does not provide support for Linux PCs.
Your best bet would be to post your issue in the support forum of the Linux distro you are using.
