This took me a long time to resolve but thought it might be useful to other Omen laptop owners.

The only clue to the constant but random BSOD issues was whenever I seemed to move the laptop about.  I thought that the laptop had suffered some internal damage even though I had never dropped it.  It has always worked perfectly but before I got the error I had replaced the battery and thought this was the problem so I swapped the old one back in and it kept happening.  The BSOD errors were always different, and I thought that the SSD was perhaps physically damaged and I was going to get the specs off it and get a new one (to be honest I didn't know what it looked like or where it was located).  I opened the back up and found the SSD was located just next to the battery.  It is secured by a small screw.  I undid the screw, which felt loose, and noticed the SSD was not pushed in all the way - somehow when I had first replaced the battery I must've knocked the drive just enough to cause contact issues.  So I pushed it back in and made sure the screw was done up nice and finger tight.  Have been using the machine ever since without a single lockup or BSOD.

So, moral of the story is - whenever you open the back up to clean it or do whatever be careful with the SSD, and for that matter all the other cards.

Greg.
