@tesriquekeanu24, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The message you're seeing "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" typically means your computer is unable to find a bootable operating system. This is not related to your HP Compaq LA1905wg monitor, which is just displaying what the PC is outputting.

Here are some steps to help resolve this issue:

Check Physical Connections

  • Ensure all cables (power, data, and video) are securely connected between your monitor and PC.
  • If you're using a desktop, open the case and check that the hard drive cables (SATA/power) are firmly connected.

Enter BIOS/UEFI Settings

  1. Restart your PC and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly (or Esc, then F10) to enter BIOS setup.
  2. In BIOS, check:
    • Boot Order/Priority: Make sure your internal hard drive is listed first.
    • Storage Detection: Confirm that your hard drive is detected under "Storage" or "System Information".

Check for Bootable Media

  • If your hard drive is not detected or doesn't have a valid OS, you’ll need to:
    • Insert a Windows installation USB or HP recovery media.
    • Boot from it and either repair or reinstall Windows.

Run Diagnostics

HP PCs have built-in diagnostics:

  1. Turn off the PC.
  2. Turn it on and immediately press F2 repeatedly to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  3. Run the System Test and Hard Drive Test.

If the issue persists:

  • Your hard drive may have failed or Windows may be corrupted.
  • You might need to replace the drive and reinstall Windows.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
