Just like the title, the battery got puffy or swelling if you want to call it that way, so I removed it and currently using on AC power. Thus I got the CMOS reboot (502) error and Time synchronization fail on Windows 10.
By the way, I updated the BIOS from F30 to F42 and tried rebooting BIOS to no avail because I don't have the battery inside and my laptop model doesn't have CMOS battery.
Do I have to replace the battery in order to get the Time synchronization to work? Because without correct time, I can't get the correct windows update. Also, people on here had encountered the 502 error AFTER they replaced the battery too. I'll go ahead and get a new battery in some day, let's hope that I'm not going to encounter that problem.
p/s: I read on here that the built-in sealed battery also serves as a real time clock battery so it might be the source of the Time Sync problem, what in the world...

Yes, since there is no separate RTC (CMOS) battery, the main battery also serves as the RTC (CMOS) battery and if you can't synchronize the time in Windows, and get the CMOS 502 error, you will need to replace the main battery.
Below is the link to the service manual.
The battery part number can be found in chapter 3.

Hi:
You can synchronize the time as soon as you want after you log into windows.

No, with all respect, you're straying out of my question. Time synchronization on windows 10 failed for me, the cause is unknown, my laptop is also having a 502 error too.
So I'm asking that is it really that the sealed battery actually handle the Time and will both time synchronization and 502 error will be fixed if I install a new battery?
