HP ENVY
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My laptop keeps saying repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour. It has been three days. I turned it off and turned it back on while holding F10 I also tried F2 and esc. It keeps going back to the same black screen that says repairing disk errors. With everything shut down right now I am running out of options to get it fixed. My children have no way to do their homework this was our only computer please help

From your description, it sounds like Windows is trying to repair file system corruption issues and keeps failing.

When you tried F2, did you run Diagnostics, and if so, did those find any issue with the hard drive?

When I did that it said no hard drive disk detected. How the heck is that possible??? It was fine 4 days ago. I don’t understand. How or why did this happened?

That error message, together with the indication that no hard drive is being seen, both tend to indicate that the drive has died.

How old is the PC?

It’s a Laptop, it’s almost 2 years old. What do I do now. Can everything be recovered?
