Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First,a disclaimer...Have research OS recovery ad nauseum.  All posts advise to enter windows, then do a bunch of stuff.

However, I am attempting to reset the PC because I cannot enter Windows.  So this approach is invalid.

Upon boot, I select f11, then Troubleshoot, then reset this PC.....At this point, I am presented with a blue screen containing my (what looks like my windows) login name and associated email and a dialog to enter a password.  Entering my windows password does not work.  A blank does not work, etc.

I assume that this password is NOT my Windows password (Otherwise it would have taken me to the next step to actually start the recovery process).

What defines this password.

Any advice is appreciated,

ME
