Resetting a lost admin/poweron password for Stream laptop

Hello. My father recently passed away and, going through my "inheritance", I found his HP Stream laptop (11-r015wm). Powering the system on, I was prompted for a Admin or Power On password. Entering a few common ones I knew my father used, but to no avail. Eventually it gave me the code "14846634". Is there anything I can do? If not then this computer is basically bricked.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

I tried to do as you said, but the unit is out of warranty so there was no help.

My husband passed away, and I REALLY need to get into his computer, but I do not know his password to sign on.

What can I do?
