The Windows 10 OS froze. This was not the first time. Previously, it would be resolved by rebooting. In extreme cases, had to turn off, remove all peripherals, push power button for a few minutes and boot again.
This time is different. I receive this message:
SMART Hard Disk Error
The SMART hard disk check had detected an imminent failure. To ensure no data loss, please backup the content immediately and run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics.
Hard Disk 1 (301)
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI is run. But it says:
Testing Drive: 1
SMART Check : FAILED
Screenshots are attached. Does it mean the hard drive is faulty? Is there anything else to try?

Hi:
You will have to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
HP ProBook 450 G3 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
You may want to consider replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).
After you replace the drive, you can reinstall W10 by creating bootable USB installation media using the HP Cloud Recovery Client software.
This package provides the Cloud Recovery Client for supported models running a supported operating system. This Client Utility enables users to download the Recovery Kit from the cloud.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110501-111000/sp110846.exe
I have attached the instructions for using the utility, below.

Installing your old failed drive as a USB drive will usually allow you to extract your data.
There are also bootable Linux distros like Knoppix which run off DVD or USB drive which can be used to copy data beforehand, and sometimes will even rescue the disk. Once it starts to go, you must replace it.
Obviously, you will install your new Win10 from usb media
