HP Pavilion - 14-bk004la

Hi folks,

I've bought a 500GB Kingston SSD NVMe M.2 NV2 but the laptop is not detecting. I've tried A LOT of solutions on the internet, but the SSD it's not even being detected by the BIOS (HP Pavilion - 14-bk004la). The service manual says it supports M.2 SATA  on page 2, chapter 1 (Product Description).

I've tried:

  1. disconect the SATA HD;
  2. load the driver during the windows 10 instalation process;
  3. change somenthing in BIOS, but did not find any reasonable option (i found the BIOS from this computer very superficial, with few options).

Anyone can please help?

Thanks!

No, M.2 NVMe won't work. Please use M.2 SATA-3 SSD''s

Right!

Thanks a lot!

Another question is about the 500GB blank partition. Why my laptop has this partition in an 1TB HDD? If use the M.2 SATA 3 SSD for the operational system will it require this 500GB partition? Will I need a 1TB SSD for the operational system?

I’ve tried to disconnect the HDD. Did not work…
