Hello
Since the penultimate update of Windows plus the update of the bios system of HP, when I start my computer the screen turns on and off where flicker, I am forced to restart so that everything returns to normal. Do you have a solution so that I don't have to restart so that everything goes back to normal? Thank you in advance for your answer

Hi @Micka18,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion 14 laptop's screen is lighting up and flashing at startup, there could be several potential reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Check for loose connections: Make sure that the laptop's display cable is securely connected to both the motherboard and the back of the screen. If the cable is loose, it can cause flickering or flashing on the screen.
- External Devices: Disconnect any external devices (e.g., monitors, projectors, USB devices) that might be connected to the laptop. Sometimes, conflicts with external devices can cause display issues during startup.
- Battery and Power Adapter: Ensure that the laptop's battery is charged and the power adapter is functioning correctly. A low battery or power fluctuations can lead to display issues.
- Boot in Safe Mode: Try booting the laptop in Safe Mode. Safe Mode loads the basic drivers and can help identify if the issue is caused by third-party software or drivers.
- Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers can cause display problems. Update the graphics drivers to the latest version from HP's official website.
- Check for Software Conflicts: If the issue started after installing new software or drivers, try uninstalling them to see if the problem goes away.
- Run Hardware Diagnostics: Many laptops come with built-in hardware diagnostic tools. You can access these tools during startup to check for any hardware-related issues.
- Reset BIOS Settings: Resetting the BIOS to default settings might help resolve display problems caused by misconfiguration.
- Run System File Checker: Use the System File Checker tool to scan for and repair corrupted system files that could be affecting the display.
- Hardware Issue: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with the laptop's display, such as a faulty screen or graphics card.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
