Is there a way to get a list of notebooks that support Secure Boot? I am looking for a Spectre x360, and is seems that some models do not support Secure Boot. Is there a place to find out if a specific model supports Secure Boot?

Thanks

@geoffreyk00,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

What exactly seems to be an issue with the computer?

Could you please share the product number of your HP Notebook to assist you better?

All HP computers manufactured with Windows 10 come with Secure Boot enabled by default. If you upgraded to Windows 10 from an earlier Windows version, you can use Secure Boot only if an AMI BIOS version 8 compatible with UEFI is available for the computer. Go to HP Desktop PCs - Updating the BIOS or HP Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS for additional information.

You may refer to this HP Support document - HP PCs - Secure Boot (Windows 10)

There are no issues with the computer.

I am simply asking if there a way to get a list of notebooks that support Secure Boot.

It's great to have you back.

In this scenario, I would recommend you go through the HP article which has all the information regarding secure boot.

The article does not supply models numbers that have Secure Boot. This is the information that I am looking for.

For example, does the HP Spectre 13-ac0XX i7-7560U support Secure Boot?

With a given model number, how do I determine if it supports Secure Boot if I do not have access to the BIOS

Unfortunately there is no list which I can share with you.

I hope this answers your question.

Take care and have a great day!

Cheers 🙂

@geoffreyk00,

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
