I write with Google Translator. I really care about securing my notebook, I have a password on the BIOS and Windows, but I heard that to break the password, I can do it with different programs and here my question. Will the "Secure boot" option Secure my notebook in such a way that it will not be possible to boot from USB or from the CD or should I be afraid that such security can be circumvented? I am not asking for advice on how to avoid security, but I am asking how to secure my notebook. I really care about the answers.

Windows 10 is very secure. I can defeat a password up to Windows 7 (won't say how) but 8 and higher takes a whole new level of skill to get past a Windows password.

If you are really worried about this I would set up a complex PIN for logging on to Windows 10:

If your brother can crack this he should be hired at the NSA.

Here is an HP piece on secure boot:

It basically only allows booting from a trusted device with a signature the system recognizes. It may restrict booting from certain specific CDs and USB devices that are not compatible with secure boot:

and can you disable both "Secure boot" and "USB boot" simultaneously?

You should be able to set the BIOS to legacy boot and also remove usb devices from the boot order. Now it no longer sounds like we are trying to secure something.

That's how it sounds. I want to lock the notebook before running from USB and CD

so that someone would not break the BIOS and system password

Good luck

I know how it looks but does it make sense or should I be afraid?

The only thing to fear is setting some kind of password and then forgetting it so your laptop becomes a boat anchor. For anyone to try to hack your BIOS password (almost impossible, by the way) they would have to get possession of the laptop. Do you leave it laying around insecure places where genius hackers hang out?
