Pavilion Gaming 15-DK1760NG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I just purchase HP Pavilion Gaming laptop yesterday and it is shutting down automatically very often. It shuts down within 5 to 10 min. I can’t do anything on it. The laptop turns off with and without AC adapter.

Windows 10 is updated on the laptop. I have set turn off option to Never in Power supply setting. Even though, it shuts down automatically and it is so frustrating.

Hi @Apurva12

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

Please run Extensive Test -

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3.On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

4.Click Extensive Test.

Let me know, if the computer restarts during the test.

Hope this helps.

Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
