Hp Notebook

My son wanted to uninstall all programs on his laptop to just the factory default programs. I’m not exactly sure what he did. Now, when you turn on the laptop it doesn’t give you the option to sign back in. It looks to be stuck on reboot because you just see the hp icon for a bit and then it goes black and then back to the hp icon over and over.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

 

I suggest you run a System Test and let me know how it goes

 

- Shut down the Notebook completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
- Click System Tests

 

If All the Test pass, please perform a a System Reset once again

Hey CrazyToad, 

I did what you said, twice. Did the complete test and everything passed.

 Then turned off the Notebook and waited and turned it back on again and still nothing. Just shows the hp icon for a bit then blank screen then hp icon over and over.

This is definitely a Software related issue

 

Did you try the Reset as instructed in the Link: https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c04742289

 

If you are unable to get to the Recovery Manager, you will need the Recovery Media to Reset the Notebook

 

If you do not have the Recovery Media, please follow the instructions I sent in the private message

 

Please check your private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.

 

Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope
