HP Pavilion p045tx (4th i7, 8GB/1 TB)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Recently I have changed the battery (HP) and hard drive (Seagate) for my notebook in the HP service center. After replacing, they installed windows 10 pro to my laptop (previously i was using 8.1).

From then, there were issues with sleep, hibernate & shut down options. After using them, the screen goes off but power  button indicator is on and fan was running. It will be in that state till the battery drains or I force shut down it.

I have tried some of the solutions from this forum but in vain.

Can anybody suggest me the reason & solution fo this problem ??

Does going back to Windows 8.1 will solve this issue ?

Hi,

Try completely updating the PC. You can follow this guide here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Knowledge-Base/New-notebook-running-slow/ta-p/7057949

Install HP support assistant and update all drivers:

Also make sure you have the latest BIOS installed

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-pavilion-15-p000-notebook-pc-series/69...

Hope it helps,

David
