Slow boot time

I have an Hp Probook 640 g4 laptop with an intel core i5 7th gen cpu and 512 gig m.2 nvme ssd and 8gb ram. usually windows 10 boots in a second but nowadays windows is taking time to boot. so i clean installed windows 10 now the boot time is much reduced but still it takes time to boot . ANy fixes ? th

To answer your question -- not that we know of.

The NVMe SSDs are the fasted SSDs out there, so you should be getting almost instant boot -- a few seconds at most.

They can get very hot, but that does not slow down the boot process, as far as I have experienced.

Your reinstall was a bad idea, and not the miracle cure everyone seems to think it is -- because it then sets your OS back to the date of the installation media and you could then be faced with hours of Windows Updates -- which will bring your laptop to a halt and fill up the SSD, since updates do not clean up after themselves.  True, when the updates are done, the laptop performance will return to normal, but now you've cluttered your SSD with a lot of files you no longer need.

Hey thanks for replying..

1st things that i reinstalled windows using the installation media completely clearing the previous  windows. 

And  my os was used heavily and the chkdsk thing was running every time unnecessarily , And a lot of junk was there so i wanted to clear the clutter .. But after the reinstallation i didnt do any updates... downloaded all drivers from hp and all devices working fine... my boot time got reduced than earlier but still not like the time when it booted in a sec.. I thought the ssd has some issues so i ran few benchmarks for the speed test and the results were perfect like the earlier once..
