Spectre x360 15-CH012NR
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A Spectre x360 15 bought less than a year ago.  I have already read other threads to restart this computer. The machine was open and running on internal power,  went to sleep on its own. Now has a fast blinking power light and will not restart. I have already

 

1) Plugged it in and out more than once, 

2) Changed power outlets and tried the same thing.

3) Held the power button in for 15 seconds,. 

4) Tried the Microsoft B hold for three seconds,

5) Tried the Microsoft V hold.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

This looks like a possible hardware failure. However, I would suggest you try these steps here: 

 

Have you tried to charge it for couple of hours and check if that helps.

Have you tried to use a different compatible charger and check if it helps?

 

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Disconnect the external SSD from the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

Already attempted 15 second reset multiple times. Already tried recharging for more than 30 minutes multiple times. Verified at Best Buy that the AC adapter works. Worked through the work list - no difference, Still have fast blinking power light and unable to start machine.
