Hi, I have a brand new Spectre ac001a laptop (less than a week old). It has been working fine until I ignored the 'low battery' warning, the battery ran out and the device powered off and now it will not charge.
I have tried to hard reset it (by holding the power button for 15 seconds) and it didn't seem to do anything.
The AC adaptor is humming (I noticed that it also did this when the battery was full and it had stopped charging) but the charging light is off. I have been attempting to charge it for around a hour without any luck. Is there anything I can do (other than return the laptop?)
Thanks,
George

In your case, I would utilise the warranty. Please contact HP technical support directly and submit a case.

If after plugging in AC adapter to power, and you are not able to see power LED - this may be issue with DC power connector or board itself. But first you've change AC adapter and see.
