HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0023dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The computer was being used on battery.  Battery became low and I closed all applications and turned off computer.  Plugged computer in overnight to recharge.  Now computer does not turn back on.  When plugged in both the power button led and the small led near the charger input blink white.  The power button led blink code is about 3 seconds on and 3 seconds off, continuous pattern.  The small white led near the charge cord input to the computer blinks about 5 to 6 seconds on and 1 second off, continuous as long as power cord is connected.  When the charger cord is disconnected the led near the charger input stops blinking and the power button led continues to blink white at about 3 seconds on and 3 seconds off.

The screen remains black when the power button is depressed.  Holding the power button in for 10 seconds and then depressing again has no effect.  The computer is completely unresponsive. My extended warranty just ended less than a month ago.

I left the computer on without plugging it in to fully discharge the battery.  I then after several days plugged it in and it properly booted. No more flashcodes.

Hi@jtd997,

We reviewed your post and I understand that the  Notebook is not Powering ON,

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps

Do you see a light at the place where the charger connects to the laptop? If yes then it indicates that the charger is all fine.

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.

F6 + Power Button

  • CMOS Rest ( combination of windows button and letter 'V' then push the power button ones and release the windows and letter 'V' after 5sec

If the laptop does not power on then please continue with the below steps:

  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery out.
  • Connect only the battery and check if the laptop powers on.
  • Likewise, remove the battery out (if removal battery ) and connect only the charger and check if that helps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
