Dear HP,
I am struggling to see why the keyboard backlight can't be kept on constantly. I can't really return my Spectre, since there is no suitable replacement available from any other brand for the same price, but still I almost did. Backlight is meant to support night-time scenarios, it turning off totally beats the purpose of this feature. It is INCREDIBLY annoying. I hope HP sees the importance and urgency of changing the keyboard backlight drivers. The current situation is far from ideal commercially for the company also, since this IS a deal breaker. I would like to note Advanced BIOS settings are not necessary to implement this, it's a simple change in drivers that's needed and this change should not take any more (and probably less) than an hours work for any good programmer to implement. I am counting the days this is taking HP to set straight as this will most definitely have a strong influence on how I will recommend HP to all those who want to know. Selling a new laptop with this kind of blatant flaw can only just be forgiven, not setting it straight by swiftly updating the drivers most definitely can not.

Please try Section The backlight stays on for only a few seconds to adjust timeout of keyboard.
Regards.

You people always keep pointing to the same "solutions": Advanced BIOS setting or using F5 or using Windows Mobility settings. My Spectre x360 doesnt support ANY of these solutions. There IS NO SOLUTION at the current time. Please please PLEASE customize the BIOS or update Windows drivers to allow constantly on keyboard lighting, I often work in dark environments.
