Two days ago my laptop would not turn on, so I plugged in the charger and it booted up as normal. I noticed that the battery read 2% and did not increase after hours of charging. Once I unplugged the charger, it died immediately. In order to use it now, I must keep it plugged in. I ran a battery check and it is reporting a failure, error code: 6AJPU8-8LDA3X-MFPUQJ-C0DP23. I never had issues before this and nothing happened to my laptop, I didn't drop it or anything. What can I do to fix it?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I did decode the failure id and it refers to battery 1 failure.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
