Example: HP Notebook 14am065-tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was able to login to my laptop initially but it hanged.. I waited for 15 mins but it didnt respond to any key that I pressed so I had to long press the power button.

Ive tried to remove the battery. wait for few minutes etc., but I cant get to my laptop anymore.. it only gave me the HP logo and the spinning circle just stops, it will run its circle for couple of time then it will just stop.

even after several attempts its still doing the same.. it will show the HP logo, spinning circle will start but eventually stops and never to continue.

Please help. badly need my laptop for my schooling.

This issue is often due to a failing drive. So, let's check that first, because if it is failing, it would need to be replaced and there is no point then in doing anything else until you have the replacement drive in hand.

If your PC is new enough to support UEFI, you can use these steps to test the hard drive: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

If not, to check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu
3) Press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Thank you. I just bought a new hard drive today. I was able to replace the old HDD, now how do I proceed?
