Hi, I have been stuck in "Preparing Automatic Repair/Diagnosing your PC" loop. I am unable to troubleshoot my laptop successfully. I attempted resetting the laptop using both options, restoring the system, restarting the laptop by unplugging the power cord, using the start-up repair and uninstalling updates. I also attempted BIOS  update by loading Setup Defaults, however it returned to the automatic repair screen after saving changes. I finally attempted to do an F2 UEFI  system diagnostics but the laptop would get stuck on the language selection menu. This was all unsuccessful. I attached images below to show the responses i was getting:

You mentioned using F2 and getting stuck on language options.  That indicates a hardware problem.  The warning 500 BIOS ERROR indicates either the BIOS is corrupted or an update to BIOS failed.

Can you get into the BIOS and press F9 or whatever key is used to set default? If you cannot get into BIOS then try the WIN-B recovery procedure:

What is your product ID?

What caused the problem in the first place? -

Power glitch? Upgrade to windows 11?
Microsoft or HP update? Add a new device, memory, etc.?
BIOS upgrade that went wrong?

Before doing the WIN-B, I recommend you reseat all memory and clean the motherboard

You need to remove all the memory chips and clean the motherboard as best you can with an air duster. You should take some caution to avoid static discharge when removing the memory sticks.

On a desktop system, unplug computer. If the power cord has a transformer (wall wart) unplug from the computer. Press the power button 2-3 times to discharge residual electricity

First blow out as much dust as you can before removing the memory. Once motherboard area is clean, then discharge static electricity by touching a finger to metal frame or case before removing memory sticks.

Clean the memory contacts with eraser, use air duster, reseat memory.

Thanks for the response. My product ID is HP Laptop 14s-dq4001ni. I had used the laptop as usual (no update or power glitch). I had attempted the Win-B BIOS recovery and it would update but it would return to the BIOS recovery (500) screen and restart the automatic repairs. I will attempt to remove the memory chips and clean the motherboard as soon as I get hold of a small screwdriver to open the back then retry the WIN-B BIOS recovery.

For a laptop just pop open the cover plate (if it has one) to get access to the memory.
