Hi @NLSD,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Chromebook 14's System UI has stopped responding, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart Your Chromebook: Press and hold the power button until the device powers off. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the Chromebook.
- Press and hold the Refresh key (usually located above the 3 or 4 key) and then press the Power button.
- Release both keys when the Chromebook starts up.
Check for Updates:
- Make sure your Chromebook is running the latest version of Chrome OS.
- Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for Updates.
Clear Browser Data:
- Open Chrome and go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
- Select All time as the time range, and check all boxes (Cookies, Cached images and files).
- Click Clear data.
Reset the Chromebook to Factory Settings (Powerwash):
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Reset settings > Powerwash.
- Click Restart and follow the instructions to reset your device.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
