Hi, I have a Spectre x360 2019 Edition 15-df0002na.
I just got this today and installed the updates as prompted by the support assistant. After those updates, my trackpad would not work properly. The cursor would jolt around in a small space and with that it would move aournd the screen.
I have now gone through the system restore route to the restore point made just before the updates. I can see that the trackpad now works as it moves around the screen smoothly with my control howeve i am stuck on a screen saying 'just a moment' with the dots constantly going in a circle, This has been stuck on the screen for 2.5 hours. The screen does turn off every now and then and when i move the cursor, this screen will come back.
How long should it take?
Is there a way of checking how long is left?
What will happen if i try to switch if off while its on the screen?
And as for the updates making the trackpad go crazy, what was that about and what should i avoid updating when/if this laptop works? I cannot provide a list of the updates until the system restore issue is fixed.
Thanks

It's not unusual for a full system restore to take 3 hours or more.
If you turn off the PC before it is done, you will leave it in a corrupted state and you might not be able to do the factory reset again. And, in that case, you would have to contact HP to acquire Recovery Media to reset your PC.
