Hi @Sir_Muel,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the BIOS issue on your HP 14s laptop, follow these steps to download and install the correct BIOS recovery package.

Identify the exact model of your HP 14s:

  • Check the label on the bottom of your laptop or inside the battery compartment for the model number.
  • Alternatively, you can press F1 or ESC during startup to access the System Information screen, which will display the model number.

Visit the HP Support Website:

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your laptop's model number in the search bar and press Enter.

Locate the BIOS Section:

  • On the support page for your specific laptop model, navigate to the "BIOS" section.
  • Download the latest BIOS update available for your model. The file is usually an executable (.exe) file.

Create a BIOS Recovery USB Drive:

  • Insert a USB drive (minimum 1GB) into another working computer.
  • Run the BIOS update executable file you downloaded. It will prompt you to create a recovery USB drive.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Recover the BIOS:

  • Insert the BIOS recovery USB drive into your HP 14s laptop.
  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Hold down the Windows key + B key, and then press the Power button for 2-3 seconds. Release the Power button but continue to hold the Windows and B keys until you see the BIOS recovery screen.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to recover the BIOS.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it could be due to a specific hardware failure.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
