HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have updated my bios to F.08 and ever since that update my battery takes 2-3 hours just to charge upto 10% and my laptop randomly locks up and sleeps when im playing video games and i have done the battery test and everything is good but the new bios update ruined it for me and now i want to revert back to F.05 and when i do that i get this error "The System BIOS update failed. "unable to open BIOS Signature file" . I've tried 2 bios method 1. usb (i received the same error) and 2. i tried the win key + B and hold power for 3 seconds and it didnt go back to the old version. i brought this laptop 2 months ago and now its sooo slow and when i try to revert to the old bios... it doesnt work. Any solutions?

I reviewed your post and I understand the battery is taking time charge after a recent update.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I am not aware when exactly a new BIOS will be released for your computer. However, I recommend you keep on eye on HP's driver page for your computer for the latest driver updates.
