Hi,

When i access my UEFI and then change the setting and the save and exit the changes are not applied (when i access the UEFI again i still find the old changes)

also when I boot i get this message : "

Creating boot entry "BootXXXX" with label "ubuntu" for the file "\EFI\ubuntu\shimx.efi"

and then this one "

Failed to create boot entry : Out of resources

"

what I did is I restored the security settings and that caused some other problems

what i think is that somehow i overflowed the partition of the UEFI or somthing (it's just a guess i am no ex)

Sorry, but the process of creating a Linux distro entry in UEFI systems is complicated, and since HP does not provide Linux support, you would do better posting this in the support forum for Ubuntu: http://ubuntuforums.org/

Good Luck

thanks for your replay, but my problem know is not creating my Linux distro since i already have it and i can boot on it by using F9 but i don't like this way of doing things since it's not clean and I know how to fic that problem, but i have one problem that I am not even understanding and it is that my UEFI is totally ignoring the changes i am making (yes I am saving) and that is leaving me stuck with the same boot order.

I understand what you're saying, but you should read through this -- which you would have found if you'd gone to a Linux support forum:  https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI
