Hi, I just bought 2 upgrades for my laptop, RAM and a M.2 SSD ( ADATA Swordfish M.2 2280 Gen3x4 SSD 250GB), my pc came with a 500GB HDD, so my plan was to set the SSD for the OS and programs and keep the HDD for data storage. I installed the SSD, and its recognized and functional, but I am not able to select it as boot device in BIOS (updated BIOS to latest version - Insyde f.58, 12/06/2020) I tried the EFI file boot option, but did not work. I clone my HDD to the SSD already and remove the HDD to see if it works with no luck (no media or device found message at startup) any ideas on what can I do or it is not possible to boot from m.2 on this pc?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

You need to reinstall the OS using the Recovery Media. But before that try disabling the Secure Boot and enable the Legacy Boot in BIOS

Same problem here. After bought M.2 SSD Samsung 128GB, I did a clean install of Windows 10 1909 and update all drivers on SSD. After updating BIOS to F.23, I got error 3F0. I can't boot from SSD, but it's fully funtional if I install Windows in HDD.

Can't rollback BIOS version, seem to be locked by HP.

Hi @krazyToad, thanks for your message, should I restore my OS on the current HDD, or should I try to get it done on my SSD? I was not able to locate the SSD previously on BIOS.
